Terrible customer service. I ordered dog food online and they mixed up my order and tried to convince me to keep the incorrect food. I've tried to contact customer service but am getting no response at all. I will use Pet Valu going forward.
BEWARE…. Came into the store with a $20 off coupon when you spend $50 which I received from animal services when I renewed my dogs license. I presented the coupon at the time of sale. Items were charged at full price. The male clerk with the sleeve tattoos blamed the machine rather than his deliberate deceptive actions. Dishonesty is not becoming to a reputable company like Rens. A refund was issued after a complaint was made. No apology was given. Suggest shopping elsewhere.
I have been a loyal Ren’s customer for nearly 20 years, regularly shopping for all my pet needs, including dog food. However, my recent experience was incredibly disappointing and has made me rethink where I spend my money. I visited the store to purchase Orijen Large Puppy food and presented a manufacturer’s coupon at checkout. Despite having successfully used the same coupon at Ren’s before, the cashier refused to accept it. When I questioned the inconsistency, the cashier was abrupt and dismissive, making the interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. Frustrated by the poor service, I left without making my purchase and went to Pet Valu, where they had no issue honoring the coupon. I later reached out to Ren’s about my experience, and Laura Daniel responded, asking for more details. I took the time to provide all the requested information and even attached a copy of the manufacturer’s coupon—only for my email to be completely ignored. It’s frustrating to be a long-time, loyal customer only to be dismissed and disregarded. If this is how Ren’s values its customers, I’m happy to take my business elsewhere.
This is by far the BEST pet food store in the Hamilton area. Prices are great, they always have something on sale too. PLUS their customer service is fantastic. I don’t shop anywhere else now. Shout out to Alyssa (I’m pretty sure that’s her name, I’m so sorry if it’s not) for her AMAZING customer service!
They are close to my house and they carry the food my bestest buddy eats. Always nice and friendly. I bring my buddy in with me and she gets a weight check on the scale when we get food. Alot of selection and the layout is not overwhelming at all.
I am always greeted by a friendly employee and love the variety of products they have. What I really like is they pay attention to expiry dates and will give a discount on products that are to expire in three months time. Helpful when you have a cat who eats a bag a month. Worth checking out!
I had the most amazing experience shopping for cat food thanks to the knowledge and customer service from mackenzie and devin. Both were so helpful they actually helped me pick a food that my cat actually liked at a great price point!
